Personal Favourite

Another beach photo, another wave stands stills, this is as cliche' as it gets with Hui Hui photo. But perhaps' that's the basic reason why I love this type of photo. The only difference is, this photo has lots of excitement appear in Debra's facial, although Doneal was trying to look as cool as possible. Had a great time with them, looking forward for their pre marriage photo pula after this.

Debra and Doneal pre engagement photo

We took these photo's at 2 separate location and 2 separate day, but both in Penang. I was lucky because during the first session, I was joined by a good friend of mine, Frisco who have a wider experience in photography. Lot's of technical and new things learned during the session.
This photo was taken by Debra herself, she wanted to share their joy with their fish. So, she placed the rings inside the aquarium and I gave a little tips on the lighting setups, and here it is. Pity though, those 2 fish which appear in this picture died soon after we were back in from Sabah. Rest in Peace.

For the second session, we went to Batu Ferringhi for some typical beach shooting.

So, we've done it, all we have to wait is the engagement day itself. Congratulation to both of you!!!

The 2010 Adventist College of Nursing yearbook

I also took the individual photo of Class 2010 and the AN group 9 for their yearbook. It was really fun, did them at the college auditorium and sets up a mini studio with the curtain as background. All I did after that is call each one of them to come up and take their photo.

Personal Favourite

Pretty odd favourite's selection for the event, but there's a lot of technical stuff involved in taking this group photo. First of all, the hall is a bit dimmed, so shooting a group this large requires some extra lighting. I set up 2 external flash from left and right and triggered them using radio trigger. Then there was this group of people who also wants to take the group photos and was in front of my way, even after the announcer announce them to give way for the officials photographer. And so, there I was trying to tell them to move aside with my high pitch, small little soft voice. I guess my voice is only like a mouse squeeking on the back for them as they stay put on their feet. Luckily, my friend Choi came up and help me to clear these people away. Thanks Choi. I took like 6 shots of the group photo and in the middle of it, there was this boy who ran across the group, so there's 3 photo which have the boy in it passing the group. I was looking at the viewfinder the whole time, so I didn't realize that. The middle part was a bit overexposed, but it was taken in RAW, so it's an easy fix. Lastly, the flash on my right is not as strong as my left (used 2 different flash), but it wasn't so bad I guess. So, here it is, the last photo of the day.

Adventist College of Nursing Graduation Ceremony 2010

This was a 2 day event which was held back in May to celebrate the end of the RN class of 2010 and AN class 2009. Lots of emotions and commotions went on but at the end of the day, it was all worth it and the graduates went home with smiles and joy in their faces as they've completed another chapter in their life before stepping into the real world of working. It was really exhausting as I was doing it solo, but since I've pretty much know how the program goes on, (I was in it also 2 years ago) it went pretty well.
The first day was mainly filled with the class presentations in songs and testimonies.

Eagerly waiting.

The tutors congratulating the graduates.

I'm really attracted to the shirt's print.

The group photo during the first day.
